“Save This” Emergency Checklist

For When Things Start to Slip

This is a quiet, grounding checklist — not a to-do list you have to complete all at once.

Save it somewhere accessible.

✅ If food is running low:

  • Call 211
  • Locate a food pantry today
  • Ask about recurring weekly distributions

✅ If housing feels unstable:

  • Call 211 before eviction or displacement happens
  • Ask about emergency or transitional housing
  • Inquire about rental or utility assistance

✅ If you feel overwhelmed or unsafe:

  • Call or text 988
  • Reach out to a trusted person
  • Do not wait until things feel unmanageable

✅ If you’re new to Las Vegas and lost stability:

  • Ask 211 about new resident resources
  • Look for short-term assistance programs
  • Prioritize food + shelter first — everything else comes later

✅ If addiction or mental health is involved:

  • Ask specifically for recovery-aware resources
  • Know that support exists even during relapse or crisis
  • You do not need to “fix everything” first

✅ Remind yourself:

  • This is temporary
  • Help exists
  • You are allowed to ask
  • You don’t have to do this alone

Closing Thought

This city doesn’t only belong to people who are thriving.

It also belongs to people who are trying to survive and rebuild.

Support is part of the relationship too.
