The Best Room on the Strip — For the Right Traveler
A gated private drive, Byredo Mojave Ghost and a Therabody Theragun waiting in the room, and the Athena infinity pool overlooking the Strip made this the best hotel room I’ve stayed in in Las Vegas. It’s not for everyone — but if a quiet, elevated room matters more to you than nightlife in the lobby, this is it.

Check-In: A Gated Drive, A Personal Touch
Crockfords is one of three hotel brands sharing the Resorts World Las Vegas megaresort, alongside the Conrad and the Las Vegas Hilton — three separate towers, three separate lobbies, all under one roof. Resorts World sits at the north end of the Strip, diagonally across from Wynn and Encore and just south of the Stratosphere, close to the Las Vegas Convention Center. It’s a bit removed from the mid-Strip crowd around Bellagio and Caesars, but Crockfords’ own gated, self-contained feel makes that distance work in its favor rather than against it.
Crockfords sits behind its own private gate within Resorts World — you don’t just pull up to a curb, you drive in, and the gate opens promptly the moment staff spot your car. No waiting around at the barrier. Valet was standing by, and from the moment I arrived it was clear this wasn’t going to be a typical Strip check-in.

I was checked in by Sean at the front desk, who was lovely from the first hello. He walked me through the property — details on the pool, the complimentary breakfast (6 to 10am), and the hotel’s smoke filtration system, which is genuinely noticeable the moment you step inside. No lingering smoke smell, and none of the overpowering vanilla scent I’ve run into at other Strip properties. Sean sent me off with a bottle of Eon water and a property map before I even got to my room.
Valet tip: There’s a text number you can use to request your car for a specific pickup time — it’ll be running and ready when you arrive. Mine even had the AC set to 60 on a 110-degree day.

The Room: An Entrance Worth Waiting For
The curtains opened automatically as I walked in — a small thing, but it set the tone for the whole stay. The room itself is a marble-tiled entry giving way to patterned carpet, a wall-mounted TV over a low dresser, and a seating nook with two accent chairs and a round table framed by floor-to-ceiling windows. My high floor faced the Stratosphere, the Fontainebleau, and Circus Circus — clean glass, no streaks, no smudges, sunrise and sunset both looked incredible through it.

There’s a wet bar area near the entrance with a Nespresso machine (coffee included, no extra charge), glassware, and a mini fridge — actually two fridges, one pre-stocked with cold drinks and one left empty for anything you bring yourself. A live snake plant sits in a gold-and-white pot on the dresser, and by the bed I found a Therabody Theragun massager, two bottles of water, and a handwritten-style welcome note: “Our desert climate is as vibrant as it is dry. To keep you refreshed, please enjoy these Byredo essentials, thoughtfully selected to help you stay at ease throughout your stay.”

That welcome bag included travel-size Byredo Pillow Mist and Facial Toner, plus two BodyArmor Flash I.V. electrolyte packets. Even the closet impressed — wooden hangers, a built-in ironing board and iron, a plush white robe, a fold-out luggage rack, and a canvas laundry bag, all lit automatically when the door opens. The trash can is even lined with a napkin. That’s the level of detail throughout.

A leather folio on the desk holds branded Crockfords stationery, envelopes, and a monogrammed pen — an old-fashioned touch you don’t see much anymore, and one I genuinely loved.

The Bathroom: Marble, Byredo, and a Soaking Tub
Marble runs throughout the bathroom, with a double vanity, two sinks, and folded towels tucked on open shelving below. Byredo Mojave Ghost hand wash and body lotion sit on the counter alongside dental and shave kits, and a lighted magnifying vanity mirror makes getting ready easy. There’s a glass-enclosed walk-in rain shower with a handheld sprayer, a separate soaking tub, and a private water closet with its own framed artwork.

Byredo isn’t a brand I’d run into before this stay — it’s a Swedish niche luxury fragrance and skincare house, the kind of name you find at high-end hotels rather than a drugstore shelf. Mojave Ghost, the scent used throughout the room, is a soft, musky floral, and it fit the whole desert-luxury feel of the property perfectly.
Part 2 of 3 — Amenities & The Pool
The Athena Infinity Pool, open to all Resorts World hotel guests — my personal favorite of the two.
The Pool: Athena and the Crockfords-Exclusive Cabana Pool
Resorts World actually has two pool experiences worth knowing about. The Athena Infinity Ultra Pool is a 21-and-up infinity pool open to any Resorts World hotel guest — Crockfords, Conrad, or Hilton — with a Strip-facing edge and sightlines toward Wynn, Encore, and Trump. It was my favorite of the two: quiet, adult-only, with loungers and cabanas lining the deck and staff who check in on you without being intrusive.
Crockfords also has its own separate, guests-only Cabana Pool, reserved exclusively for Crockfords guests. It’s smaller and calmer — a round pool with lounge chairs reserved for Crockfords guests only, plus private cabanas anyone at the resort can reserve. It’s perfectly nice and genuinely quiet, just a different vibe than Athena’s Strip-view infinity edge. When I went up close to closing, an attendant apologized that food wasn’t available since the kitchen had closed for the day, and offered to help with anything else I needed. Even the closing announcement had personality — a reminder that the pool reopens at 9am, followed by “stay fabulous.”
Good to know: Both pools stay open year-round — Resorts World heats its pools to around 80 degrees, though winter hours run shorter (roughly 10am–4pm) than the summer schedule.

The cabanas are worth the splurge if you can get one. Inside: a woven wicker sofa and chairs with cushions, stone flagstone flooring, a wood-beamed ceiling, curtains you can draw for privacy, a round black side table, a mini fridge/bar cabinet, a mirror, and a Strip view through a large window opening looking out toward the Palazzo and Venetian.
Around the Property
Crockfords’ lobby carries the same level of intention as the room. A swirl-patterned carpet in taupe, navy, and cream runs down the guest corridors, and the lounge area is anchored by a massive sculptural ribbon-shaped chandelier over marble floors. Near the elevator bank, don’t miss “Namaste” — a crystal-and-bead elephant sculpture designed by Céline Dion, covered in more than a million Swarovski crystals and beads. It’s a striking, unexpected piece of art for a hotel lobby.

Who Crockfords Is Really For
If you’re chasing the club scene, Resorts World actually delivers — Zouk Nightclub and AYU Dayclub are legitimately some of the best nightlife on the Strip right now. But Crockfords itself isn’t built for that crowd; it’s built for the version of a Vegas trip where the room is the destination.
That makes it a genuinely great pick for families and couples who want the Strip without the smoke and noise. You don’t have to walk kids through a casino floor to get to your room — Crockfords has its own separate elevators and entrance, and outside of the casino floor itself, the property is smoke-free. Between the guests-only Cabana Pool and the adult-only Athena infinity pool, there’s a calmer alternative to fighting for a lounge chair with a party crowd, and the whole property feels calmer than a typical mega-resort. If what you want is a quiet, elegant base to retreat to after a day on the Strip — with a partner, your kids, or just yourself — this is exactly that. If you’re planning to spend most of your trip out at clubs and want your hotel to match that energy, you’ll probably be happier somewhere with nightlife built into the lobby.

How It Compares
I’ve reviewed hotels across the Strip for VegasUnscripted — Bellagio, the Cosmopolitan, Waldorf Astoria, Vdara, and more — and Crockfords is, without question, the best I’ve stayed in. It’s not close. Waldorf Astoria is genuinely nice, but it doesn’t reach this level of polish or personal attention. Where the Cosmopolitan leaned into an overpowering vanilla scent throughout its halls, Crockfords smelled like nothing at all — which, for a Vegas hotel, is its own kind of luxury.
Within Resorts World’s own tiers, Crockfords sits above the Conrad and the Hilton. Reviews of the Conrad describe solid, comfortable rooms with smooth service, but with tradeoffs Crockfords doesn’t have — no in-room coffee machine in some rooms, and you’re still navigating the scale of the larger resort to get to pools and restaurants. Crockfords’ self-contained design, private pool, and gated entrance make it feel like its own boutique hotel rather than a wing of a mega-resort.
Worth noting: Crockfords’ public review scores run lower than you’d expect for a property this polished — some reviewers cite inconsistent service or a gate attendant who wasn’t always at the ready. That wasn’t my experience, and I’d guess a lot of that gap comes down to expectations that vary by what a guest is actually looking for, not the room itself.

My only real critique isn’t about Crockfords at all — it’s that I hadn’t stayed anywhere quite this elevated recently, which made the contrast even sharper. If you’re deciding between properties at Resorts World, or across the Strip generally, this is the one to book if the experience matters as much as the stay itself.

Is Crockfords good for families?
Yes — it’s smoke-free outside the casino, has its own entrance so you don’t have to walk kids through gaming floors, and the pool experiences are quieter than a typical Strip pool deck.
Does Crockfords have nightlife nearby?
Yes. Resorts World is home to Zouk Nightclub and AYU Dayclub, both considered top-tier Strip nightlife — Crockfords just isn’t built around that energy the way some other properties are.
Is the Crockfords pool open to non-guests?
