The Allegiant Stadium bag policy turns away more fans at the gate than anything else. Here’s what you can carry in, what gets stopped, and the rest of game day sorted before you leave the hotel.
Bring one clear bag, 12″ x 6″ x 12″ or smaller.
Add a small clutch if you want one. Backpacks, regular purses and diaper bags don’t get in, and bag check costs $20 per bag.
Clear Bag + Small Clutch
Clear plastic, vinyl or PVC up to 12″ x 6″ x 12″, plus a clutch up to 4.5″ x 6.5″ x 2″.
$20 Bag Check
Three locations around the stadium, cashless and non-refundable. It costs you time as well as money.
Reserve Parking Ahead
SpotHero is the stadium’s official parking partner, and the closest lots sell out for big games.
Reserve on SpotHeroMandalay Bay or Luxor
The closest Strip resorts to the Hacienda Bridge, which is pedestrian-only on Raiders game days.
Check Mandalay BayAfter 24 years in this city, I’ve watched the same scene play out at every big game: a line of fans stepping out of the security queue with a backpack or a favorite purse, looking for somewhere to put it. The Allegiant Stadium bag policy follows the NFL’s clear-bag rule, and security doesn’t bend on it. Get the bag right, decide how you’re getting there and back, and the rest of the day takes care of itself.
The Allegiant Stadium Bag Policy: What Gets In and What Doesn’t
| Item | At the Gate |
|---|---|
| Clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bag up to 12″ x 6″ x 12″ | Allowed (one per person) |
| Clutch, purse or wallet up to 4.5″ x 6.5″ x 2″ | Allowed, in addition to the clear bag |
| Necessary medical items | Allowed, subject to inspection |
| Purses bigger than 4.5″ x 6.5″ x 2″ | Not allowed |
| Backpacks, diaper bags, fanny packs, cinch bags | Not allowed |
| Coolers, seat cushions, luggage | Not allowed |
| Briefcases, computer bags, camera bags | Not allowed |
Local tip: The clutch is the most common mistake. A small crossbody can look “small” and still be over 4.5″ x 6.5″. If you’re unsure, put your phone, ID and card in the clear bag and leave the purse at the hotel.
Bag Check: Three Locations, $20 Per Bag
If your bag doesn’t meet the Allegiant Stadium bag policy, the stadium runs three bag-check locations. Each bag costs $20, it isn’t refundable, and payment is card or phone wallet only.
| Bag Check | Location |
|---|---|
| North | Lot B, south of Hacienda Avenue |
| West | 5455 Polaris Avenue |
| East | Lot E |
Bag check opens when the stadium gates open and closes one hour after the event. Luggage and suitcases are accepted, which helps if you’re heading to the airport after the game.
Don’t leave it too late: Bags still at bag check after it closes go to lost and found. Plan your post-game route so you pass your bag-check location on the way out.
Faster entry: If you use CLEAR, the Raiders run dedicated CLEAR lanes (Lanes 49 and 50) at every home game. The stadium is also fully cashless, including concessions and the team store.
Raiders vs. Chiefs on October 4: The Timeline That Matters
The next big one is Sunday, October 4, 2026, when the Kansas City Chiefs visit for a 1:25 p.m. Pacific kickoff. Both teams come in 3–0, so expect a sold-out building and plenty of red in the visitors’ sections.
| Time | What Happens |
|---|---|
| 9:25 a.m. | Parking lots and tailgating open (four hours before kickoff) |
| About 10:55 a.m. | First Game Day Express buses leave the casinos |
| 11:25 a.m. | Gates and bag check open; half-price Casamigos cocktails until 12:25 p.m. |
| About 12:25 p.m. | Last Game Day Express bus to the stadium |
| 1:25 p.m. | Kickoff |
Alice Cooper plays the halftime show, and Michelle Williams sings the national anthem. The same pattern holds for every Raiders home game: lots open four hours out and gates open two hours out.
Green Sports Day: At the October 4 game, the stadium’s sustainability team is partnering with the Southern Nevada Water Authority and the Las Vegas Valley Water District on a water-conservation activation. Worth a quick stop if you’re early.
Getting There: Parking, Rideshare and the Hacienda Bridge
Parking: Official lots are sold in advance on SpotHero, and paying on arrival only works if spaces are left. There’s no re-entry, and everyone in the car needs a game ticket. Our Allegiant Stadium parking guide covers every lot, the tailgate rules and the best plan from each part of town.
Rideshare: Uber and Lyft use the front half of Lot N at 5285 Dean Martin Drive. After the game, walk back over the Hacienda Bridge and request your ride from Mandalay Bay or Luxor, which also have rideshare pickup and are usually faster than Lot N.
Walking: From the south Strip, the Hacienda Bridge closes to cars and opens to pedestrians on game days. The bridge is about a 10 to 15 minute walk from its east end to the stadium gate. Farther up the Strip, an $8 24-hour Deuce pass gets you to the Mandalay Bay stop near the bridge.
The Local Secret: The $4 Game Day Express Bus
Locals know this one, and visitors staying off-Strip should too. The RTC’s Game Day Express runs to the stadium from six casinos for $4 round trip, with exact change or a pass bought ahead in the rideRTC app.
| Area | Pickup |
|---|---|
| Henderson | Green Valley Ranch, M Resort |
| Summerlin | Red Rock Casino |
| East Side | Sam’s Town |
| Northwest | Santa Fe Station |
| North Las Vegas | Aliante |
Buses run roughly every 30 minutes (hourly from Aliante and Sam’s Town), the last one leaves an hour before kickoff, and return trips start about 30 minutes after the game.
Where to Stay for a Raiders Game
Walk to the game: Mandalay Bay, Luxor and Excalibur are the closest Strip resorts to the Hacienda Bridge. You never touch a car on game day.
Center Strip: Park MGM puts you in the middle of the action for the rest of the weekend, and the Deuce or a short rideshare gets you to the bridge on game day.
Stadium District: A small cluster of newer extended-stay hotels sits on Dean Martin Drive, a short walk from the stadium. I’ve stayed at two of them, the Home2 Suites and the TownePlace Suites. Both have kitchens and breakfast, and they’re a smart pick for groups and families.
Henderson or Summerlin: Lower rates, quieter nights, and a $4 bus to the game.
Sort Game Day Before You Go
The closest lots and the hotels nearest the bridge go first for division games. Lock them in early.
