Which Garage Are You Actually Using Tonight?

T-Mobile Arena has no garage of its own. Here’s how to pick the right one before you leave home.

Closest Walk

New York-New York

Covered bridge connects directly to the arena. Most convenient — and most expensive because of it.

Reserve on SpotHero
Best Value

Showcase Mall / OYO

From $15 — worth the extra walk if you’re not in a rush. OYO gives Nevada residents first 3 hours free.

Reserve on SpotHero
Best Exit

Park MGM / Aria

~0.07–0.12 mi from the arena. Better post-event exit than NYNY — hit the Strip or I-15 faster.

Free Tram Trick

Mandalay Bay / Luxor

Park here, take the free tram to Excalibur, walk ~0.4 mi across the pedestrian bridge. Cheapest option if you have MGM Rewards.

Reserve on SpotHero

T-Mobile Arena doesn’t have its own garage. That single fact trips up more visitors than anything else about this venue — you’re actually parking at one of the MGM properties surrounding it, and which one you pick determines whether your night starts smooth or starts in a line.

Book before you drive down. Event nights, lots fill and prices surge. Reserve through SpotHero and lock in your rate — walk-up pricing on a Golden Knights playoff night is a different number entirely.

The Closest Garages, Ranked

Garage Distance Notes
New York-New York Closest Covered bridge to arena — most expensive because of it
Aria ~0.07 mi Across Park Avenue, similarly priced to NYNY
Park MGM ~0.12 mi $20 Mon–Thu, $23 Fri–Sun. First hour free everyone; first 3 hours free for NV residents except on event pricing nights
Showcase Mall Cheapest option from $15 — worth the extra walk
OYO Hotel ~0.4 mi $19–21/night. NV residents first 3 hours free with valid ID. Book via SpotHero
Excalibur ~0.4 mi Furthest of the main four. Use the free Mandalay Bay–Luxor–Excalibur tram to get here cheaply

The Free Tram Trick

If you’re parked at Mandalay Bay or Luxor, the free tram connecting those two properties to Excalibur drops you right at one of the closest garages to the arena. From there it’s the same ~0.4 mi walk across the pedestrian bridge. If you have MGM Rewards Pearl tier or above, your parking at Mandalay Bay or Luxor is already free — this is how locals do it.

The Park MGM Angle

Park MGM sits directly beside the arena and is one of the two closest options. Real rates: $20/day Mon–Thu, $23/day Fri–Sun for self-parking. First hour free for everyone. First 3 hours free for Nevada residents with valid ID — except when event pricing is in effect, which is exactly when you’d want it most. MGM Rewards Gold tier and above get free valet (otherwise $40/day).

If you’re a local with Pearl-tier status or higher, self-parking here is already free. Just validate at the kiosk before heading back.

Reserved Event Parking via ParkMobile

Reserved event parking is sold directly through ParkMobile for designated levels at New York-New York, Monte Carlo, and the Aria Event Parking Garage. Two things to know: you can buy it up to 7 hours before the event — after that, it’s gone. Access these lots via Frank Sinatra Drive as your primary route in.

Rideshare — Don’t Pin the Wrong Spot

This is where people lose 20+ minutes for no reason. Dropoff is at the ground level of the New York-New York parking garage. For pickup, use NYNY or Park MGM — don’t pin the arena’s main entrance or your driver gets redirected into the geofenced event zone and you’ll sit waiting in gridlock.

The exit hack: When the show lets out, don’t open your app right at the gates. Walk 5–10 minutes to Park MGM’s front entrance and request your ride from there. Surge pricing peaks immediately post-event at the official zone — Park MGM is consistently calmer.

Skip Driving Entirely

RTC VGK Express: Four routes from across the valley straight to the arena, $2 each way. Best move if you’re coming from off-Strip.

Las Vegas Monorail: Fast, climate-controlled, skips Strip traffic — runs the east side from MGM Grand to SAHARA station. Check it lines up with where you’re staying.

The Deuce: 24/7 up and down the Strip. A 24-hour all-access pass is $8 — buy through the rideRTC app.

Reserve Your Parking Before You Drive Down

Prices are lower when you book in advance — and the best spots sell out for major events. Don’t gamble on finding something when you arrive.
