CES Las Vegas takes over the city every January. Here’s where to stay, how to get between venues, and what a 24-year local would tell a first-timer.
CES 2027 runs January 6–9. Book a room on the Monorail line or the Vegas Loop.
There’s no public parking at the main venues, so where you stay decides how easy your week is. Hotels closest to the convention center go first.

Getting aroundCES is the biggest show of the year for Las Vegas. It fills hotels across the city, spreads across several venues, and turns a normal 10-minute ride into a wait at the end of every show day. The people who have the best week aren’t the ones with the fanciest room. They’re the ones who picked a hotel that matches where they need to be.

Where CES Happens: The Venues
CES isn’t one building. The main venues are the Las Vegas Convention Center, the Venetian Expo and C Space at ARIA, with Fontainebleau also in the mix. That’s why your hotel choice matters so much.
- Las Vegas Convention Center: The main show floor, spread across several halls east of the north Strip.
- Venetian Expo: On Sands Avenue behind the Venetian. The Monorail doesn’t go here.
- C Space at ARIA: Center Strip, reached by the C Space shuttle.
Getting Around CES: Shuttles, Monorail and the Vegas Loop
| Option | How It Works |
|---|---|
| Free CES hotel shuttles | From select official CES hotels to the LVCC and Venetian Expo, Tuesday, Jan. 5 through Saturday, Jan. 9. |
| Tech Express (Route 9) | Free shuttle between the LVCC (Central Plaza, near the Monorail walkway) and the Venetian Expo (Sands Ave.). |
| C Space Shuttle (Route 7) | To and from ARIA from the LVCC and Venetian Expo, Wednesday to Friday. |
| Las Vegas Monorail | Stations at MGM Grand, Horseshoe/Paris, Flamingo, Harrah’s/The LINQ, Westgate, SAHARA and the LVCC. Discounted passes are sold through CES registration. |
| Vegas Loop | Free across the LVCC campus. Small fare to Encore, Fontainebleau, Resorts World, SAHARA and Westgate. |
Monorail hours during CES: Monday 7 AM to midnight, Tuesday through Thursday 7 AM to 2 AM, and Friday through Sunday 7 AM to 3 AM.
Local tip: The end of each show day is the crunch. Taxi lines, shuttle lines and rideshare waits all spike at once. If you can, leave 30 minutes before close or stay for a drink nearby and let the crowd clear.
Rideshare pickup spots
| Venue | Pickup |
|---|---|
| LVCC | Outside South Hall between the Bronze Lot and the Renaissance, or in the Diamond Lot next to West Hall |
| Venetian Expo | Main porte-cochere on Sands Ave. |
| Venetian Hotel | Valet area in the parking garage |
| ARIA | Lower level of the North Valet Lobby |
| Fontainebleau | South Valet area |
| Westgate | Sportsbook entrance |
Watch for pop-up messages in your rideshare app, since venues and most hotels have designated pickup entrances. If someone is dropping you off at the convention center, use the S2, C5 or West Hall entrances. Drivers have to stay with their cars.
CES Parking: Leave the Car at the Hotel
There’s no public parking at the Las Vegas Convention Center or the Venetian Expo during CES. ADA parking is available at official CES hotels, first come, first served, so check your hotel’s parking policy before you arrive.
Need accessible transportation? ADA-accessible shuttle service runs during regular shuttle hours and has to be requested at least 30 minutes ahead. Call or text 312-566-7996.
